Straps Demonstration (Spiral Thigh Brace)

The link above is short movie of Jack Day. Jack has Cerebral Palsy (spastic diplegia). He had a selective dorsal rhizotomy to reduce spasticity. Post surgery the Spiral Thigh Brace was used to promote pelvic stability , improve proprioception and encourage bringing the thighs apart and rotated to a neutral position. This was to reduce scissoring of the legs and excessive internal rotation of the the hips which was impeding Jack’s ability to walk /move safely.
